TUESDAY Zumba 7:00 - 7:50 pm
THURSDAY Zumba 7:00 - 7:50 pm
SATURDAY
Zumba 9:30 - 10:20 am


WHAT IS THE COST?
$6/class or
$50 for a 10 class punch card ($5/class)



WHAT DO I WEAR TO ZUMBA®?
Wear comfortable clothing that is not restrictive and allows freedom of movement. Athletic shoes with little tread work best.


WHAT SHOULD I TAKE TO A ZUMBA® CLASS?

A towel and water bottle. 


IS YOUR CLASS LOW OR HIGH IMPACT?
I am proud to say that I specialize in LOW impact Zumba classes. While it's important to have some type of impact in your workouts for healthy bones, you don't necessarily have to jump around to get an intense workout. Many low impact exercises (which is when one foot is always in contact with the ground) can absolutely get your heart rate into your target heart rate zone for optimal fat burning. 
 

 

 

Some reasons you may have to avoid high impact are: injuries in the joints, bones or connective tissue; chronic problems like arthritis, osteoporisis or stress fractures; being a beginning exerciser; pregnancy; being very overweight; or an aversion to high impact exercise.


WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE ANY RHYTHM AND CAN’T DANCE?
Zumba® Fitness Instructors will teach you the steps to their routines, but you don’t have to be able to dance to Zumba®. The dance steps are basic steps and are easy to learn. As an instructor, I start slowly and then pick up the tempo as the class catches on to the steps. As long as you are moving and having fun, you are doing well!

 

I AM NOT IN SHAPE. WILL I BE ABLE TO DO ZUMBA®?
Absolutely! Even though Zumba is a high energy workout, it is easy enough for beginners to catch on to quickly. You can also control how much energy you use by increasing or decreasing your level of intensity. For example, if you feel you are doing too much, you can just do the footwork and then add the arm movements when you are more comfortable. As always, consult with your physician before starting this or any other exercise program.
